If you are looking for a dehumidifier for background dehumidification in the home then a compressor type (as opposed to desiccant type) is still the most economical solution.
They can use as little as 25% of the electrical consumption of a desiccant machine – this is very important when a machine is left on all the time to control the humidity.
The Meaco ABC 10L has simple push button controls, digital humidity readout, decent sized tank and is nice and quiet in operation.
The ABC 10L can be used to dry laundry as well of course – any dehumidifier will do that if you put it in a small room with the laundry and shut the door for instance.
